The Weymouth Rotary Trestle Train Bridge

The Weymouth Rotary Trestle Train Bridge was built in 1914.

It is now slated for demolition along with two other train bridges in western Nova Scotia. 
This bridge was a rotary bridge that could be opened to let the tall ships through.

Historic Weymouth Train Bridge

365 Project - Day 93 - 4/3/11

On this sunny spring day in April we explored and enjoyed the view of a train bridge that has stood like sentinel over the Sissiboo River river for nearly a century. Built in 1914 in Weymouth, Nova Scotia.

It is now slated for demolition along with two other train bridges in western Nova Scotia. This bridge was a rotary bridge that could be opened to let the tall ships through. You turned a crank manually and the bridge spun around to let the ships pass to unload & unload their cargo.

An old boat that I'm pretty sure wouldn't float, and the view of Baie Ste Marie that I had while perched on the edge of the old foundation of the former Comeau Seafood's Fish Plant. The plant burned down around a decade ago. Grosses Coques, Nova Scotia.

Snow & rain in Nova Scotia today, but spring and warmer weather will return in a day or two.
The rain will make everything around us turn green.

Wandering through the woods in Saulnierville Station I found this crooked cabin that has surely seen better days.
