Mermaids Memories Beach Glass Suncatchers

Mermaids Memories Beach Glass Suncatchers

I've been wire wrapping beach glass to create these one of a kind, extremely unique, abstract art pieces, created from Beach Glass, also know as Sea Glass or Mermaids Tears. Beach glass is shards of glass that has been discarded and somehow found its way into the sea, to be tossed around broken on rocks and polished by the sand and the waves. Finally be washed up along the shores as tiny treasures to be picked by beachcombers all over the world.

These pieces are wire wrapped using recycled copper wire, available in any shape or size. Custom made to fit your style! If you have beach glass that you have collected and don't know what do do with, I can create a special keepsake for you or a loved one using you very own glass! Available in clear beach glass, green, brown, some cobalt blue & amethyst, and a very small amount of red or yellow. Order now for best selection.
Custom pieces are also available in a wider range of colors of scrap stained glass & recycled copper wire. Hang indoors or out.

Meteghan River Bridge - Removal of the temporary Bridge. Clare, Nova Scotia

Meteghan River Bridge Removal - Photos of the the workers and the work that was done with heavy machinery including excavators, even one floating on a barge to remove the old temporary bridge to make way for the permanent one.

You can see parts of AF Theriault & Son Ltd. Boat Building & Repair in the background of many of the photographs. One of the largest, privately owned shipyards in Canada's Atlantic region. Af Theriault was founded in 1938 by Augustin Theriault in an era where wooden 3-masted sailing ships ruled the seas. More about AFT

Meteghan River Bridge - Clare, Nova Scotia

The Meteghan River Bridge is under construction. I have been following the process of removing the temporary bridge and replacing it with a permanent one.. Here are few pics I took in Sept 2009 of the temporary "bailey bridge". http://www.goodnaturephotography.com

The original bridge collapsed on August 12, 2003. We were actually there that day - two cars behind the one that fell. Here is a picture taken when the old bridge was down. http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/1298901994066766041zzDraE

Beach Glass Photography - Memaids Tears

I have taken these photographs of beach glass & fire glass over the last few years. Each one is a tiny treasure I found while beach combing in Nova Scotia, even in the snow and ice in January. From cobalt blue, red, orange, purple, brown, black, clear, green, even melted, twisted fire glass & marbles.
