Meteghan River Bridge - Removal of the temporary Bridge. Clare, Nova Scotia

Meteghan River Bridge Removal - Photos of the the workers and the work that was done with heavy machinery including excavators, even one floating on a barge to remove the old temporary bridge to make way for the permanent one.

You can see parts of AF Theriault & Son Ltd. Boat Building & Repair in the background of many of the photographs. One of the largest, privately owned shipyards in Canada's Atlantic region. Af Theriault was founded in 1938 by Augustin Theriault in an era where wooden 3-masted sailing ships ruled the seas. More about AFT

Meteghan River Bridge - Clare, Nova Scotia

The Meteghan River Bridge is under construction. I have been following the process of removing the temporary bridge and replacing it with a permanent one.. Here are few pics I took in Sept 2009 of the temporary "bailey bridge". http://www.goodnaturephotography.com

The original bridge collapsed on August 12, 2003. We were actually there that day - two cars behind the one that fell. Here is a picture taken when the old bridge was down. http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/1298901994066766041zzDraE

10 - 10 - 10 Baie Ste Marie

Photography taken around Baie Ste Marie on October 10, 2010. 10-10-10.

Beautiful at the beach today - found some amazing stones and beach glass.
Glowing stone, the sunlight made this stone glow.

Watched AW Leil Cranes at work in Meteghan River on the new bridge. I have been photographing the whole process & will post some earlier photos.
Marsh, Grosses Coques

Several colors of Beach Glass I found today while beach combing.
Amethyst beach glass, brown beach glass and seafoam beach glass.
